OIC Connections

1. Creating New Connections 

1.1 Creating New REST adapter Connection

  • Check whether the OIC in Designer  mode and click the connection
  • Click Create Button 


  •  Now, OIC List the Adapters (For Example we are going to create REST adapter connection 


  • Enter the Name of Connection and select the Role 
  • Note: Select the role (direction) in which to use this connection (trigger, invoke, or both). Only the roles supported by this adapter are displayed for selection. When you select a role, only the connection properties and security policies appropriate to that role are displayed on the Connections page. If you select an adapter that supports both invoke and trigger, but select only one of those roles, then try to drag the adapter into the section you did not select, you receive an error (for example, configure an Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) Adapter as only an invoke, but drag the adapter to the trigger section).

    • Enter the Description of Connection and click create
    • For REST Adapter configuration click configure connectivity 


  • Select Connection Type as REST API Base URL 
  • Enter the REST URL (Remaining fields are filled as per requirements )



  • As per requirements configure the Security and Agents group.


  • Click Save and Test the connections 
  • After Tested it shows 100% with Current Timestamp 

1.2 Creating New FTP adapter Connection

  • Select the FTP Adapter from Adapter pallet
  • Enter the Name of Connection and select the Role 
  • Enter the Description of Connection and click create
  • For FTP Connection configuration click configure connectivity 

  • As per requirements configure the Security and Agents group.
  • Click Save and Test the connections 
  • After Tested it shows 100% with Current Timestamp 

1.3 Creating New REST Trigger Connection for Expose as a Service


  • Enter the Name of Connection and select the Role as Trigger
  • Enter the Description of Connection and click create





  • Click Save and Test the connections 
  • After Tested it shows 100% with Current Timestamp


  • Note: In This Version (18.3.3.0.0 (180821.0400.14040)) OIC will Take Security Policy as Basic Authentication with OIC Login Credentials
